Target of the programme:
training of well-read specialists with fundamental knowledge of biotechnologies of medication and foods, biotechnological production equipment, as well as of methods of scientific creative work, and are prepared for research and educational activities.

Programme characteristics:
involves theoretical bases of new biotechnological processes and their management, simulation and scaling in an effort to convert from laboratory to business scope, study of biotechnological process principles and selection of equipment suitable for technologies of specific protein and biologically active substances. Subjects of investigation are populations of microbe, animal and plant cells in bioreactors, mechanisms of their development, function and management, and quantitative description of biotechnological processes in real and ideal bioreactors with special emphasis on biotechnologies of medications and foods. This Master’s programme is based on the project approach which makes it possible to combine training at the University with implementation of certain projects in organizations acting as partners of the University under this programme such as Biomed Research-and-Production Association which is Perm branch of Microgen Research-and-Production Association of the Russian Ministry of Public Health and Social Development.
