The scientists have isolated microorganisms that can absorb formaldehyde from wastewater. Exceeding its permissible concentrations in the water is dangerous for the environment and human health, as well as harmful to the microorganisms that are used for cleaning.

Researchers from Perm Polytech  have developed a unique regulator for the operation of a gas turbine aircraft engine, which is based on a combination of “intuition and rigor” of artificial intelligence. According to scientists, the technology will significantly improve the safety of civil airliners. The researchers published the results of their work in the journal Russian Electrical Engineering.

Programmers from Perm Polytech  have created glasses based on neural network algorithms that will allow you to find out which products and interfaces attract visitors the most. The product will help to get a complete picture of the client's behavior and will be cheaper than analogues by about 10 times, according to the developers.

Complex technological facilities are often used in industrial enterprises. To ensure their effective operation, specialists conduct tests using mathematical models. Scientists of Perm Polytech  for the first time created a software package that will optimize the energy supply system and reduce the costs of companies. The developers published the first results of the study in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series. Scientists performed it as part of the state task of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The development was also implemented with the support of the Perm Region and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
