President of Japanese Toyota Engineering will Give a Lecture for PNRPU Students

 On October 9 at 4 o’clock there will be an exhibition of Japanese simu-e painting art by B. Bolkhovitin in Gorky Library; at 4.30 T.Horikiri President of Toyota Engineering Company will give a Lean Production lecture for PNRPU students. Tosio Horikiri will tell students and staff of HR principles in Toyota both in Russia and abroad.

Was born in 1943.
In 1966 he graduated from Aviation Machine Engineering Faculty of Kyushu University.
In 1966 he entered the Toyota Company
In 1966-1979 he worked in Carbody Production Technology Department in Japan; he was responsible for Corrola, Corona, Carina and other projects.
In 1979-1987 he bacame Head of Production and Technology Department in foreign countres, worked in Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and China. He worked with spare parts suppliers, was responsible for product localization and costs decrease.
In 1987-1990 he became Head of Car Manufacturing Department in Kiozui Motors, Ltd in Taiwan.
In 1990-1993 he became Deputy Head of Production Planning Department abroad.
In 1994-2000 he became Director of Production Planning Department and Department of China (supervised construction of Toyota plants in China).
In 2000-2002 he became Director of Foreign Projects Support in South-East Asia, Australia and India.
In 2002 he became President of Toyota Engineering Corporation.
In 2002 he became President of Toyota Management Institute.
In 2010 he became General Director of Certification Centre.
Now Horikiri Tosio is the Chief Consultant of a number of companies in China, the USA, Japan and Russia.
