November 22 was the date of the International Scientific Conference SHUMPETERIAN READINGS at Perm National Research Polytechnic University.
This third conference coincided with PNRPU 60th anniversary and 130th anniversary of Joseph Alois Schumpeter’ birth.
Scientists and experts from all over the world gathered to discuss how effective the innovation development institutes are.
The main topics for discussion were innovations, entrepreneurship and competition as factors of social and economic systems development.
The emphasis of the conference was made not only on generating new ideas but also on launching them, on joint projects with businesses to build up the innovation development institutes.
Note:
The project of Schumpeterian Readings at PNRPU devoted to innovation studies was proposed by R&D Centre Managing Innovations of Perm National Research Polytechnic University in 2010.
The first conference of Schumpeterian Readings was started in Perm in 2011.
The conference invited scientists and experts, including those from postgraduate, higher and business-oriented educational institutions, commercial and social institutions, local and state authorities dealing with innovation studies or those busy with developing, introducing and assessing innovations effectiveness.
The second Schumpeterian Readings (SR-II) took place in 2012 in two steps. At that time the participants set the general topic of the conference “Innovations, Entrepreneurship and Competition as Development Factors of Social and Economic Systems”.
