Environmental Protection Problems Were Discussed at PNRPU

 Together with the 60-th anniversary celebration PNRPU opened the International Scientific Conference “From Waste Treatment to Managing Resources”.
The conference organizers are: PNRPU Environmental Protection Department and non-profit organization Ural Association of Environmentally Aware Enterprises (Ekaterinburg).
Six leading scientists from different countries shared their advanced experience in solid wastes processing and disposal:
GERMANY: Professor Kerstin Kuchta - Technical University of Hamburg, Doctor Marco Ritskovsky - Hamburg University of Technology, Institute of Ecological Technologies and Energy Ecomonics, Professor Christof Wunsch - Technische Universität Dresden;
AUSTRIA: Doctor Ervin Binner and Professor Marion Huber-Humer - Vienna University of Natural and Applied Sciences;
UKRAINE - Yury Маtveev - Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, the NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF UKRAINE.
Apart from Perm and international guests the conference had participants from 15 Russian cities (Miass, Moscow, Ufa, Irkutsk, St.Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Nizhny Tagil etc.) dealing with ladfills design for solid hosehold and industrial wastes, city sanitation measures and promotion of recycling in Russia for more than twenty years.
The speakers told about studying the contents and properties of solid household wastes; advanced technologies of collecting, transporting, sorting and processing solid household wastes; designing, constructing and exploitating landfills; soil reclamation and postoperational service of solid disposals.
The conference participants saw a new PNRPU Wastes Deep Sorting Machine and discussed future laboratory researches with regard to optomechanical wastes sorting.
The students and young researches of our University could also benefit from the master classes of our European colleagues in this period of time.
