The registration for the Imagine Cup contest is open. This time it will be in Seattle in summer 2014. The contest will have more than 300 of the world best students with a team from Russia.
In 2014 the contest has slightly changed, but three main categories have remained the same: Games, Innovations and Social Projects.
Main challenges for Russian students to get to Seattle:
1. According to results of some regional and Imagine Cup contest (Moscow, April 2014) each of the three categories will form one team of winners.
2. In May 2014 these three teams from Russia (among 200 international teams) will take part in the International online final contest. The winners of this part will go to Seattle.
3. The greatest part of Imagine Cup 2014 will be in summe 2014 in Seattle with more than 300 participants from the whole world, including students, mentors and exert jury.
The talents and positive experience of Russian students of participating in Imagine Cup make it clear that at least one team will go to Seattle this summer. Moreover, in case there will be more winners from Russian teams in the world final online part, they all will be able to go to the USA this year. This will give much more chances for Russian young talents to win the main grant of 50 000 dollars.
In 2014 the participants will have an opportunity to win 3000 dollars in similar categories. This means that the team should present its project not only in the main contest but also in one of three online contests that will be available at the same time as the main part of the contest. They are optional and guarantee both the prize and the title of Challenge All-Stars that will be given only to TOP-10 participants. Apart from that, it is a good chance to improve projects before applying for the main part of the contest and improve presentation skills of students.
Students can apply for any of three categories:
