Perm krai Ministry of Power Engineering and Household Utilities signed a contract with Perm National Research Polytechnic University for creating Development Programme for Perm Krai Electrical Power Engineering 2014-2018.
PNRPU is the recognised leader in national power-related researches. 8 projects competed in this open project organised by the ministry. The project of Perm National Research Polytechnic University was proved to be the best one and the winner.
It is important to note that this development programme is necessary both for the execution of the federal laws and solving real power-related problems of the Kama region. The problems include:
- separating Perm krai into three isolated free power transfer zones which will help to solve the problem of power price fluctuations and impossibility to serve new customers in Perm-Zakamsk power centre;
- meeting the demands of generating power grid companies and energy consumers;
- constructing new power grid and generating objects able to serve new industrial companies and living areas.
