Global UGRAD - International Student Exchange Program

International student exchange program of Global UGRAD is a program of Educational and Cultural programs of the US State Department for students of 1, 2, 3 and 4-th years of full-time university courses.

The program participants should have at least one semester before they get their university graduation degrees. The program gives opportunities for students from Armenia, Azerbaidzhan, Belorussia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan to spend 1 academic year (without obtaining a degree) at a university or college in the USA. The participants are selected in an open contest.
The winners of the program will have a full-time course during 1 year, spend at least 20 hours for social work in the 1st semester and have field training in the 2nd semester. First-year students will live in host families of dorms and study at colleges (specialized in 2 years of training). Second, third and fourth-year students will live in dorms and have a training at colleges (specialized in 4 years of training) or universities.

The program provides:
1. financing and administrative support in getting an American visa J-1,
2. flight to the USA and back,
3. training fee,
4. covering costs for accomodation and meals in the USA,
5. part of medical insurance,
6. monthly scholarship,
7. an amount of money for study books,
8. great opportunities for professional development.
