Brainy Studio – a team of students of Perm National Research Polytechnic University won the Russian final of the Imagine Cup 2014, which is the world's largest annual student technology competition held with the support of Microsoft since 2003.
The final round of the competition was held in April. After it the teams were given a task to make a video card about themselves and their project. In July Brainy Studio will go to the international final of the Imagine Cup in Seattle, USA to the headquarters of the Microsoft Corporation. There they will compete with 35 best student teams from around the world for the world championship and the grand prize of $50 thousand U.S. dollars. They will also get a chance to meet the Microsoft founder Bill Gates personally.
Last year Brainy Studio took second place in the Russian stage of the Microsoft Imagine Cup competition with an adventure game for the Windows 8 mobile platform titled "WitchCraft".
The team consists of undergraduate and graduate students of Electrical Engineering Faculty:
