German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst - DAAD) announces a competition for scientific grants for the 2015/2016 academic year within the joint Russian-German programs "Mikhail Lomonosov" and "Immanuel Kant."
DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is a self-governing organization of higher education institutions in Germany. As of 2011 DAAD unites 236 German member-universities and 124 student organizations and is a mediator in the organization of foreign cultural policy as well as higher education and research policy of Germany. DAAD has 14 foreign offices and 51 information centers worldwide and gives out about 60,000 grants per year.
"Mikhail Lomonosov" program is aimed at supporting graduate students and university instructors working in the field of natural and technical sciences. Up to 150 grants are given to Russian scientists doing research in German universities and research centers. The grant provides an opportunity for Russian graduate students and university teachers of technical and natural sciences to undergo training at universities and non-university research centers in Germany in order to perform research for dissertations or other projects. Furthermore, the grant is aimed at strengthening and expanding contacts with German colleagues.
The "Immanuel Kant" program is aimed at supporting university instructors and graduate students working in humanities, social, law and economic disciplines. Up to 50 grants are given to Russian scientists doing research in German universities and research centers.
The grant provides an opportunity for Russian graduate students and university teachers of humanities, social, law and economic disciplines to undergo training at universities and non-university research centers in Germany in order to perform research for dissertations or other projects. Furthermore, the grant is aimed at strengthening and expanding contacts with German colleagues.
Applications should be sent by mail, courier service or submitted by the applicant to the Moscow DAAD office personally before September 20, 2014.
