On July 31 the final of the Imagine Cup took place in Seattle, USA. A team from Perm National Research Polytechnic University titled Brainy Studio took part in it with their Turn On project.

The event was held in Seattle - the home city of Microsoft. The contestants, who included postgraduates and students from all over the world, had to come up with a bright idea and implement a prototype using modern information technologies. The participants competed in three categories: games, innovations and social projects.

TurnOn - a mobile app for Windows Phone developed by a team of students from PNRPU titled Brainy Studio - has won the first prize in the "Games" category. In other categories of the contest - "Innovations" and "Social projects" - participants from New Zealand and Australia were victorious. The winners in each category received 50 thousand dollars in prize money. Perm students won an additional 20 thousand dollars in the Appcampus developer support nomination. The funds are to be used for studying business skills in Finland.

TurnOn follows the adventures of an electric spark, whose mission is to restore the power supply of the city. With this game the Brainy Studio team first won on the regional stage and later on the national stage in the "Games" category. The team is also known for developing a game titled Witch Craft.
