Sports lifestyle is the key to maintaining health and excellent physical shape for years to come. PNRPU sports life is very diverse!
Our university has its own sports club called "Polytechnic". It covers 18 different disciplines and brings together a large number of PNRPU students. The campus has the following sports facilities: sports and recreation centre, 4 sports halls, wrestling hall, weightlifting hall, 5 gyms, aerobics room and 7 specialised training halls. Our sports club offers training in basketball, volleyball, cycling, tennis, ping-pong, futsal, polyathlon, powerlifting and weightlifting, chess, track and field, skiing, sambo and wrestling. One can also take up sports aerobics, orienteering or attend the motor club.
Sporting events are not limited to PE and training. The University holds numerous competitions for the University Day, Defender of the Fatherland Day and International Women's Day and Victory Day, which are open to all students. Military and sports relay and cross-country race take place in October. Sports competitions are held at all the levels: academic groups, study years, faculties, competitions between faculties, hostels, friendly matches with teams of other universities and organisations etc.
In addition to the on-campus athletic grounds, exericise machines are located near Hostel number 3. They can be accessed free of charge at any time of day or night. Working on all the muscle groups will help you stay in shape all year long!
Over 170 events are held annually at PNRPU with total participants numbering at about 19 000 people.
