Every year on February 8, the scientific community celebrates the Day of Russian Science. Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Perm Tech Vladimir Korotaev congratulated his colleagues on their professional holiday and pointed out why the university is the center of fundamental and applied science of Perm Krai and one of the leading engineering university in Russia.

Perm Tech scientist together with Israel colleagues  developed the computing model, which demonstrates how the tumor structure appears. The system will allow to predict how disease  will be worsening  and which medical treatment should be chosen for certain patient.

Recently the president of LUKOIL Company Vagit Alekperov and the governor of the Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous District Natalya Komarova together with Anatoly Tashkinov, the rector of Perm Tech, discussed the issues of the joint work devoted to the Perm Tech branch opening in Kogalym city.

Perm Tech students developed the new technology devoted to the recycling the fat-containing wastes into the fatty acid esters, which are used as a biodiesel.

Perm Tech Specialists in biomechanics developed ambulance chaser for the muscles. To recover motion activity for those who are having serious health problems will help special kinesthetic weight bench developed by Perm scientists together with doctors. The kinesthetic weight bench passed clinical trials  successfully an in the end of the January entered the market.

According to the professional association of the digital transformation leaders GlobalCIO|DigitalExperts the project by Uralkali "Implementation of the mining-and-geological IT systems- GGIS" (digital twin of the ore mine) became the best one IT-Project of the Russia and in CIS countries. The system was developed by specialists from "Mining survey, geodesy and geo information system" department based at Perm Tech.
