Perm Tech, what is your future?

On March 4, 2020 Perm Tech hosted a regular meeting of Coordination Council headed by Anton Klepikov, deputy prime minister of the Perm Krai. The event was also attended by the Minister of education and science of the Perm Krai Raisa Kassina, the rector of Perm Tech Anatoly Tashkinov, as well as representatives of leading industrial enterprises of the region, scientific organizations and departments of the University. The focus of the meeting was the package plan of Perm Tech.

During the meeting, the target vision of Perm Tech development was presented. It means that there was discussed the strategy development of the University  which is going to be transformed into a leading integrator of educational technologies of the future by 2035, and the University itself will become a communication and management platform for high- tech business. It is planned that by this time, the research projects at the mega-science level will be formed based on the University's interdisciplinary competence centers.

It's 2024, when 100% of basic and major subjects will be held using an on-line format. Also, the University will implement landmark educational Greenfield projects for advanced training of engineering staff. There is a good and real example - the building of a new Perm Tech campus in Kogalym city, which will be completed in 2023. This project is being implemented in close cooperation with LUKOIL, one of the University's key strategic partners.

Another important task of the University is to become an Open University that means that there will be developed the  expert vertical of management, the University territory will become an urban point of attraction for young people.

Since the University is a key player of the world-class scientific and educational center (SEC) "Sustainable subsoil development", the new University strategy development will be linked with the implementation of the SEC program.
