An expert from Perm Tech Alexandr Gorshkov explained how the  life of people will be changed after the pandemic.

— According to the hypothesis of Michael Porter, severe restrictions give a rise to the innovations and improvement of the efficiency. After a pandemic, people will no longer be able to live as they lived before. They will learn the lesson from their mistakes and as a result they will be ready for strong actions when the first signs of the epidemic appear again.

Diseases are pushing the authorities and people themselves to change their life: they introduce something new, they set more strict requirements, they create conditions to tide over the epidemiological crises", -  said Alexandr Gorshkov, associate professor of the of Economics and Finance Department at Perm Tech.

According to the scientists opinion, people survived, are becoming more self-disciplined, because only this quality helps people to get over the hazard.

On-line shopping will be in great demand because it allows people not to face the danger.  On-line services and e-learning will be also developing rapidly.

MKM Partners Co. introduced the Stay at Home Index that demonstrates the list of companies which shares will not take a beating because of the  incidence rate. It is believed that the list of 33 companies is a prototype of the city without financial loss and safe place at the same time for living during the pandemic period. All city infrastructure must be designed as if people must stay at home for two or more weeks without going out.

The direct economic damage from the pandemic depends on the number of premature deaths and the loss of labor capacity. According to the scientist, indirect losses are associated with a reduction of trade volumes, the breakdown of partnerships, a decrease in transport communication, an increase in healthcare costs and an increase in budget expenditures. It is also necessary to have rainy day fund for economic activity revitalization after the epidemic.
