Analysis of paper quality at the enterprise is carried out in laboratory conditions. It takes a lot of time to determine the quality of the finished product. In this case, part of the paper web can be sent for recycling as defect products. An urgent task at present is the definition and analysis of quality indicators directly in the course of the technological process. This will allow to carry out operational measures to correct quality indicators.
In the course of the study, scientists identified the main stages of production and significant technological parameters from the sections "Sheet making and molding of the paper web" and "Pressing the paper web". The scientists have developed a statistical model for predicting quality indicators. It helped to determine the optimal values in the paper production. A change in indicators will give a signal about the necessity to check and adjust the equipment. This will prevent from the fault .
The provided statistical model is aimed at reducing manufacturing defects and choosing the optimal technological parameters for each brand of the paper. The model will help reduce production time for the customer, as well as decrease the financial costs of processing reject material.
Unlike existing methods for measuring technological indicators in paper production, the solution will allow tracking deviations already at the initial stage of paper web formation. The staff will be able to respond and debug the production process with lightning rapidity.
The existing foreign analogue - a special up-and-over analyzer (scanner) - is usually used to measure moisture after the size press and at the installation for measuring the weight of the coating. The installation of such equipment is expensive. The project will save money and at the same time it will improve the quality of products.
