Design and Numerical Simulations
The laboratory performs design and multi-scale numerical modeling of structures and devices with complex shape and internal structure, including the use of its own developed software products:
- Development of mechanical metamaterials and structures on their basis.
- Multiscale finite-element simulation of mechanical behaviour and fracture using various approaches of elastic-plastic and viscoelastic mechanics.
- Calculation of effective mechanical properties of materials and structures taking into account internal morphology.
- Creation of numerical finite element models based on micro-CT data.
- Generation of the artificial models using machine learning approaches.
- Investigation of materials with random structure based on stochastic modeling and mathematical morphology approaches.
