    Target of the programme:
    providing high quality specialists knowing advanced methods, means and information technologies of developing distributed computer-aided information systems of different purpose, able to use their knowledge in scientific, engineering, academic and administrative work.

    Programme characteristics:
    in the whole world there is a great demand for specialists in computer-aided systems which need high quality engineers with scientific lateral thinking, skilled in engineering design, introduction of computer-aided information systems and good knowledge of allied fields, scientific experience and skills providing proper management of engineering staff. The Master’s expertise includes the following: electronic computer, systems and networks, computer-aided systems of information processing and control, computer-aided design system (CAD) and data support for products, computer-aided systems software. Master’s graduates of 230100.68 Information Science and Computer Science can work with: computer systems, complexes, systems and networks, computer-aided systems, computer-aided systems of information processing and control, systems of data support for industrial products life cycle, software for computer engineering and computer-aided systems (programs, software complexes and systems); mathematical, informational, technical, linguistic, software, ergonomical, organizational and legal support of the listed systems. Master graduates’ professional activities can include: design of distributed computer-aided system, developed product (system), system life cycle processes, system development methods and tools, working with staff that takes part in life cycle processes. Professional development and support of distributed computer-aided systems are necessary for creating and organizing corporate information systems, banking and administrative structures, industrial enterprises, companies and corporations, science-intensive and research laboratories and productions.? Master’s programme provides graduates with the following knowledge: computer simulation, system analysis, engineering, reengineering and scientific research methods. The programme considers Master’s individual characteristics, so the curriculum is also based on this principle. In order to perform scientific researches, mathematical modelling and computer simulation of the studied processes and solve difficult applied problems, the Masters can use advanced computer-assisted complexes, telecommunication, robotic and other laboratories, special equipment. There are opportunities for Masters to take part in a wide range of scientific researches in information processing systems, developing highly intellectual simulation complexes, object identification, computer graphics, navigation and control systems, developing software for the Internet systems, mobile applications, built-in systems and digital signal processing systems. Master’s specialists have good knowledge of methods and techniques of computer engineering systems development, computer-aided information systems, they are able to create and support them. Those graduates interested in scientific work can have a further postgraduate and doctoral course.
