training specialists in design of engines and power systems of aircrafts with fundamental knowledge and skills in researches and project work.
Programme characteristics:
aircraft engines engineering has always been one of the most knowledge-intensive technologies. Modern aircraft engines combine newest technologies of thermal engineering, aerodynamics, strength, material science. The specialty of this programme is the combination of a fundamental course with scientific and applied researches within the University priority development area Aircraft Engine and Gas-Turbine Technologies.
Numerical and experimental researches are performed using advanced computer facilities and software, unique scientific and research equipment of PNRPU and Aerospace Department Centre for Aircraft Engine and Gas-Turbine Technologies. The present programme is based on a project approach; it is a good combination of an academic course and real project design engineering work in aviation drive engineering complexes: OAO Perm Engine Company, OAO Aviadvigatel.
