The researchers from Perm PolytechUniversity are creating a technology that will help improve the efficiency of their biological purification. The scientists have isolated microorganisms that can absorb formaldehyde from wastewater. Exceeding its permissible concentrations in the water is dangerous for the environment and human health, as well as harmful to the microorganisms that are used for cleaning.

Researchers from Perm Polytech  have developed a unique regulator for the operation of a gas turbine aircraft engine, which is based on a combination of “intuition and rigor” of artificial intelligence. According to scientists, the technology will significantly improve the safety of civil airliners. The researchers published the results of their work in the journal Russian Electrical Engineering.

Currently, from 4 to 20% of municipal solid waste is processed in Russia, and the area of landfills is about 4 million hectares. Young researchers from Perm Polytech  are developing an application that will increase people's awareness of an eco-friendly lifestyle. It will help users to sort waste correctly, provide information about eco-shops in the region and volunteer organizations, and also show garbage collection points.

More than 500 million tons of oil are produced annually in Russia. As a result of emergency situations and technological losses during the extraction, transportation, processing of petroleum hydrocarbons, environmental pollution occurs. Environmentalists of Perm Polytech  have developed a technology that will help to effectively clean the soil and water from “black gold” and its products. For the first time, scientists are creating a biological sorbent based on pulp and paper production waste.
