Young researchers from Perm Tech are developing a technology that will improve metals and alloys for the engineering and aerospace industries. The uniqueness of the development is that it will make it possible to change the properties of metals, economically using materials for coating sputtering.

A young researcher from the Perm Tech has developed an intelligent building image processing system that can determine the color patterns of architectural objects. The technology will help developers of apartment buildings integrate projects into the urban space more efficiently. The program has no analogues in Russia and in the world yet.

July 26,is the day when the whole world celebrates the day of Esperanto - the world's first artificial language, which was created at the end of the 19th century by the ophthalmologist Ludwik Zamenhof. Associate Professor of the Foreign Languages and Public Relations Department of the Perm Tech Larisa Belova explained if the mankind can switch to a single language or not.

Scientists of Perm Tech have created a mathematical model and a control algorithm based on it, which will allow this process to be carried out with minimal energy consumption. The development will help determine the most efficient production conditions and save the enterprise's funds.

In the world, about 90% of people suffering from malocclusion, and 40% are requiring orthodontic treatment. One of its causes can be bruxism, a neurological disease in which dental abrasion occurs due to teeth grinding. The bite can affect the shape of the cervical spine and the entire musculoskeletal system in general, which can be accompanied by pain. To solve this problem, doctors use Botox to reduce muscle tonus. Scientists of Perm Tech are developing a software package that will predict how the shape of the face will be changed after introducing medication into it. The technology will allow doctors to calculate the required amount of Botox in advance.

Various engineering structural materials are now used in the industry. Scientists of Perm Tech have created a software package that will help make the materials more durable and resistant to destructions. With the help of the development, specialists will be able to obtain the most effective structure of steels, alloys, ceramics and rocks. This will enhance efficiency of  the designing  new materials and reduce the cost of their production.

It is known that robots are used for moving heavy and dangerous objects . And how fo you find if robots are 1,5-2 times cheaper but the cargo they are moving will be 5 times heavier?

The last Saturday of June is the day when Russia celebrates the Day of the Inventor and Innovator. Researchers from the Perm Tech and the Federal Research Center of Medical and Preventive Technologies for Managing Public Health Risks are creating technology that will help make histological analyzes more accurate and notice changes in human and animal tissues at the earliest stages. Computer vision will allow  to identify processes in the body quickly. The development can be applied in the study of biopsies of patients, in toxicological studies on animals and in forensic medical examination.

Perm Tech is in the world leading university ranking! This time it was chosen due to experimental and engineering sciences.

One pulp and paper mill produces about 50 thousand tons of liquid waste per day. Treatment facilities do not always cope with such volumes, and difficult-to-decompose waste pollutes water bodies, disrupting food chains. Scientists of the Perm Tech have developed an environmentally friendly technology that will allow them to "improve" building materials. The waste will help improve the strength and thermal insulation properties of the cement.
